VSTEP SPEAKING PART 3: CÁCH LÀM + TEMPLATE + BÀI MẪU
VSTEP Speaking Part 3 là phần thi cuối cùng, yêu cầu thí sinh trả lời các câu hỏi mở rộng liên quan đến chủ đề ở Part 2. Khác với Part 2, phần này không có lựa chọn sẵn mà tập trung vào trình bày quan điểm, giải thích và phát triển ý tưởng một cách logic.
1. VSTEP Speaking Part 3 là gì?
VSTEP Speaking Part 3 (Discussion) là phần thi cuối cùng, nơi giám khảo sẽ hỏi bạn các câu hỏi mở rộng liên quan đến chủ đề ở Part 2.
Nhiệm vụ:
- Trả lời câu hỏi một cách logic, có lập luận
- Thể hiện khả năng:
- Phân tích
- Đưa quan điểm cá nhân
- Mở rộng ý tưởng
Khác với Part 2:
- Không còn 3 lựa chọn
- Không cần “chọn đáp án”
- Tập trung vào ý kiến + giải thích sâu
2. Tiêu chí chấm điểm (rất quan trọng)
Giám khảo sẽ đánh giá dựa trên:
- Fluency & Coherence → nói trôi chảy, có liên kết
- Vocabulary → từ vựng đa dạng
- Grammar → câu phức, ít lỗi
- Idea Development → phát triển ý (quan trọng nhất ở Part 3)
Điểm sẽ không cao nếu:
❌ Trả lời quá ngắn (1–2 câu)
❌ Không giải thích
3. Cách làm VSTEP Speaking Part 3 hiệu quả
Công thức “2–3 lớp ý” (KEY để lên band cao)
Mỗi câu trả lời nên có:
- Answer (Trả lời trực tiếp)
- Explain (Giải thích)
- Example (Ví dụ / mở rộng)
MỞ BÀI:
It is a fact that [Topic lớn hơn chủ đề thi] plays an important role in our lives.
=> Bộ chủ đề: Education, Health, Technology, Transportation, Environment, People, Jobs, Relationship.
Nowadays, an increasing number of people are concerned about [Chủ đề hôm thi - lõi mindmap].
THÂN BÀI:
Today, I am going to talk about the topic [Nhắc lại topic nguyên của đề bài].
[Ý chính 1 + lý do/ ví dụ 1]
Firstly, it is the fact that [hoàn thiện ý chính 1] Because… ⇒ R
Therefore, it is good for/ bad for + (people)

Besides the ideas mentioned above, I think that [own idea] is also worth considering. Compared to the other options, this can be more [adj] because [reason]. Therefore, it may be a better solution in some situations. (B2+)

It is a fact that technology plays an important role in our lives. Nowadays, an increasing number of people are concerned about the use of smartphones among young people.
Today, I am going to talk about the topic of smartphones and their effects on young people.
Firstly, it is the fact that smartphones help young people study more effectively. This is because they can access online materials and educational apps easily. Therefore, it is good for students.
Secondly, it is obvious that smartphones improve communication. For example, young people can connect with friends and family through social media. Hence, it is beneficial to their relationships.
Finally, we cannot deny that smartphones can negatively affect health. This is because young people often spend too much time using them. So, it has negative effects on their physical and mental health.
Besides the ideas mentioned above, I think that smartphones can also reduce face-to-face interaction. Compared to direct communication, this can be less effective because people may become less confident in real-life situations. Therefore, it may have negative impacts on social skills.
To sum up, I strongly believe that smartphones have both positive and negative effects on young people.
