My situation is that my mother has just given me 5 million VND as my birthday gift. There are three options I can choose: a new laptop, new clothes and shoes, and books and a school bag.

Among the three options, I think buying a new laptop is the best choice because it’s very useful for my study. For example, I can do homework, search for information, and attend online classes easily. The second reason is that a laptop can be used for entertainment. For instance, I can listen to music or watch movies after studying.

I don’t think that buying new clothes and shoes is suitable because I already have enough of them. For instance, I usually wear my school uniform, so I don’t need many new clothes.

Although buying books and a school bag is a good idea, I don’t choose it. Simply because I can borrow books from the library and my old bag is still in good condition. To illustrate, it’s better to invest in something more useful and long-lasting.

To sum up, if I were in the case, I would choose buying a new laptop for the reasons I have mentioned.
