My situation is that I am planning to buy a retirement gift for my former teacher. There are three options: buying a handbag, a pair of shoes, or a pair of glasses.

Among the three options, I think a pair of glasses is the best choice because of some reasons. The first reason is that it is practical for a retired teacher who may read often. For example, glasses can help protect their eyes and improve vision. The second reason is that it is useful in daily life. For instance, they can wear it both at home and outdoors. Finally, it shows care and respect. To be specific, it supports their comfort and health.

I don’t think that buying a handbag is suitable because it may not be very useful for a retired teacher. For instance, they may not go out frequently.

Although buying a pair of shoes is a possible choice, I don’t choose it. Simply because it is hard to know the correct size and style. To illustrate, the shoes might not fit comfortably.

To sum up, if I were in this situation, I would choose a pair of glasses for the reasons I have mentioned.
